The Department of Public Health regarding the sale and conversion of Caritas Christi Health Care.
HLA, in collaboration with our partners Health Care For All and Community Catalyst, is working to ensure consumer interests are protected during Caritas Christi Health Care System’s proposed sale to the private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management. The acquisition would convert Caritas, currently comprised of six Massachusetts hospitals, from a non-profit health care system to a for-profit entity. HLA has been involved in similar conversions and proposed conversions in the past, and it brings that experience to the firm’s involvement in the current transaction.
